After lighting up local bars and clubs since 2002, the Valley’s longest-running weekly hip-hop joint, The Blunt Club, ended its 12-year streak with one final blowout at the Yucca Tap Room in Tempe on Thursday, December 18. Pickster One, the event’s resident DJ, was joined on the decks by several Blunt Club regulars and fellow turntablists, including M2, Fact135, Tricky T, DJ Organic, and Jaba One as they spun up jams both classic and current for a packed house. Next month, the event will go down on a quasi-monthly basis at music venues throughout the Metro Phoenix area.
