It's no secret that here at New Times we're pretty big fans of Lit Lounge, the spoken-word series that serves as the centerpiece of performance programming at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art.

So when we landed on a theme for this year's Best of Phoenix -- "Tales of the City" -- it only made sense to team up with SMoCA to bring you Lit Lounge: The Best of Phoenix Edition.

The event will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 25 at Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix.
