Bargain hunters, this is a big deal. Nordstrom Rack's grand opening at Tempe Marketplace is set for Friday, October 3.

The 35,000-square-foot store is the sixth Rack location in Arizona and the fifth in the Valley of the Sun, offering discounts between 30 and 70 percent on Nordstrom items, as well as items purchased from Nordstrom brands to sell at Nordstrom Rack.

Nordstrom has two department stores in the Valley. One is located at Scottsdale Fashion Square, while the other is at Chandler Fashion Center. Arizona's also home to the only Last Chance, a deep discount store that offers items that were returned to or didn't sell at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack.

Tempe's Nordstrom Rack joins the south side of the open-air shopping complex at 1900 East Rio Salado Parkway, Suite 150, near Target and PetSmart.

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Call 480-603-4600.
