Leoni's Focaccia

The people – Danielle Leoni and Dwayne Allen to be exact – who brought you the Breadfruit & Rum Bar have also presented the Valley with fresh Italian sandwiches at Leoni's Focaccia. This Scottsdale lunch spot specializes in Roman-style focaccia bread paired with Italian meats, olive tapenade, and more. Leoni's Focaccia bread starts with flour imported from Italy, then gets baked in a Stone Heart, and basted with extra virgin olive oil. The focaccia is made daily, and the sandwich bread is said to never be older than an hour. There are seven signature sandwiches, numbered accordingly, with favorites including the #6, an albacore tuna salad sandwich. Other menu items include house and arugula salads, soup, and focaccia by the slice. Plus there’s a selection of house-baked cookies in flavors such as anisette, lemon drop, and walnut. The coffee is pretty good, too.
