Remember your first prom experience? We do, and we're willing to bet corsages to condoms that it was just as awkward and unfulfilling as ours. So much so that it's probably something that you'd like to forget.

Indeed, lucky are the few who have good memories of this particular adolescent social rite. It's sort of why we're rooting for Phoenix teen Matt Peterson, who wants to have one of the more memorable prom experience in the history of ever. But only if pop sex kitten and human trainwreck Miley Cyrus says "yes" to his naked YouTube invitation to go to the prom.

Peterson, a student at Arcadia High School, posted a video invitation to Miley online this past Friday that beckoned the lass to be his date at the school's junior/senior prom in May. It was also a bit of a paean to the pop star, as Peterson went through his exhaustive history of being a Miley fanatic.

In 2009, he got to meet Cyrus at the studios of 104.7 KISS-FM during her appearance on Johnjay and Rich Show. Then she gave him an onstage shout-out during her "Wonderworld Tour" appearance at Jobing.com Arena, which resulted in the lad getting super-emotional and teary-eyed.

"Those tears were super-manly right?" Peterson joked.

When Cyrus comes back to the Valley later this month for her "Bangerz" tour, however, Peterson plans to stage another memorable moment by publically asking Cyrus to be his date while sitting in the sixth row of US Airways Center and holding roses. He did a practice run of his plan on his YouTube video after getting naked (while conveniently holding a foam twerk finger over his junk) as a sign of respect toward Miley.

"Miley Cyrus . . . will you go to prom with me? I promise you it will be the best night of your life. And if you aren't the slow dancing type, no worries. I go to public school and grinding is allowed."

Up on the Sun was unable to speak with AHS officials to confirm what the school's policy toward grinding involves.

Peterson's video invite has gotten him some attention across the Internet (natch) and has gone viral. According to media reports, his plan is to ask fellow Miley fans to tweet at the starlet to persuade her to go with Peterson.

Regardless if his plan is successful, it should make Miley's show in downtown Phoenix that much more memorable.

Miley Cyrus is scheduled to appear Thursday, February 27, at US Airways Center.
