No one would blame you if, upon waking up most days, you wished it was still 1999. Since our time machine is on the fritz, the next best thing is a retro rock tour featuring The Offspring, Jimmy Eat World and New Found Glory. That lineup is just a box of Pogs and a can of Orbitz away from a proper '90s bingo.
The 34-date SUPERCHARGED Worldwide in ’25 North American tour visits Phoenix's Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre on Aug. 27. Prior to that, the Offspring were last in town for KUPD's 2024 edition of UFest. Meanwhile, the titular "Supercharged" refers to the band's 11th studio album that dropped back in October. While that LP will likely anchor their setlist, surely there will be time for "Pretty Fly (for a White Guy)," right?
Jimmy Eat World, meanwhile, performed at The Van Buren in October 2024 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the still unsung "Futures." (The band's most recent full-length came with 2019's "Surviving"). And New Found Glory are touring in continued support of 2023's "Make the Most of It."
If you're looking for even more nostalgia-tinged acts this year, you're very much in luck. At various times of the year, Phoenix will play host to Wu-Tang Clan (for their final tour), the recently-reunited Pantera, Kraftwerk, Willie Nelson, Jason Bonham and Simple Minds. Should be a great year for shows that don't run past, like, 10:30 p.m.
Tickets are on sale Friday, March 7 at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster.
