We're officially over the hump of summer.
How do we know this? Well, we're seeing a bunch of call for art entries to fill upcoming art shows slated for fall. Yep, we're on the home stretch.
And come late September, Bragg's Pie Factory will host its 2nd Annual Trashy Sculpture Show as a part of the Grand Avenue Festival.

The guidelines are pretty simple:
-- All works must be made primarily out of trash or recycled materials
-- Entry fee costs $10 per work
-- Participants can enter up to 3 pieces
-- Artists receive 70 percent of the sales, and 30 percent goes to Grand Avenue Merchants Association
-- Works must be delivered to Bragg's Pie on September 20 from noon to 4 p.m.
Easy, right? The show is also open to children and the entry fees will be waived for school groups.The show will run through November and all works that meet the above specifications will be shown.

make sure the trash you collect right now, in the dead of summer,
doesn't still have that hot garbage smell by the time you deliver it to
