More to love, baby.
It's always fun to report on a new restaurant opening, but this tidbit is particularly delectable because it's all about tortas. Tortas El Guero, that is.
Last week, the Mexican sandwich shop just opened its fifth Valley location, at 4121 E. Thomas Road (602-840-2889). It's no wonder the place is booming -- El Guero's giant sandwiches are delicious enough to inspire wild cravings, and cheap enough to make resistance futile.
I'm a sucker for the cochinita -- sort of a Mexican pulled pork sammie -- but among the 20+ varieties they have there, I swear I haven't had a bad one yet. Guaranteed to make you smile.
