Laugh it up, Phoenix.
Another new comedy venue is coming to the North Valley. Comedy club owner and Arizona snow bird Rick Bronson is opening up House of Comedy at the up-and-coming High Street (formerly known as City North) in Phoenix. The club, set to open Thursday, September 4, is Bronson's third comedy venue, following locations in Bloomington, Minnesota, and Alberta, Canada.
Christening the House of Comedy will be a debut performance by Silicon Valley's T.J. Miller. The comedian and HBO star will take to the stage at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 4; 7:30 and 9:45 p.m. on Friday, September 5; 7 and 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 6; and 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 7. Tickets are $26.95. Admission is 18-and-over for earlier shows, 21-and-over for later shows.
Other comics lined up to perform at the new venue in the fall include Harland Williams, Sam Tripoli, Collin Moulton, Jimmy Shubert, Pete Correale, Michael Malone, and Ian Bagg.
House of Comedy will serve food and drinks, however there is no two-drink minimum. In addition to the traveling acts, the venue will also feature open mic events.
