Food truck fans rejoice: starting on Monday, January 7, it's going to be easier than ever to find a mobile eatery at lunchtime from Monday through Thursday. Jamburritos Cajun Grille Express will be serving up New Orleans eats from a semi-permanent space on Roosevelt between 3rd and 5th Streets from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (excluding the third Thursday of every month). The truck, which first launched in 2010, will serve its full menu along with signature items. "Loyal fans of our food have been asking us to locate the food truck somewhere on a regular basis and I am happy to say the folks at Roosevelt Row have graciously stepped up and offered us their lot. We're jazzed to partner with them," says Jamburritos Owner and Executive chef Michael Brown.

To promote the new location, Jamburritos will be giving away free Chicken Jamburritos from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, January 7. The offer is limited to one per person and is good while supplies last. Show up early to claim your free lunch; no rain checks will be given.

The announcement of Jamburritos' semi-permanent location is fresh on the heels of the success of Short Leash Hot Dogs' concept Sit...Stay. The popular gourmet hot dog eatery parks its truck at 12 W. Camelback Road (behind frances and Stinkweeds) every Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Along with its regular menu, Short Leash serves a different specialty menu each week just for fans who stop by on Friday nights.

The Cajun truck Jamburritos will also offer rotating blackboard specials: Monday: Fried or Blackened BBQ Catfish Sundae Bowl Jambalaya Rice w/smoked Andouille sausage, Fried or Blackened Catfish, Topped with Creole Slaw, and laced with Truck-made Cajun BBQ Sauce

Tuesday: Cajun Buffalo Fried Chicken & Waffles French boned chicken legs that are fried and tossed in a Cajun Buffalo sauce served with a Belgian Waffle, Golden Brown Hushpuppies and syrup

Wednesday: Dirty Turkey Jamburrito or Bowl Ground turkey sautéed with Holy Trinity, white rice, and our truck-made Piquante sauce, sprinkled with Monterey Jack cheese and lettuce served in a warm tortilla or bowl

Thursday: Bayou Catfish Crisp Fried or Tender Blackened Catfish topped with Crawfish Etouffee served with Jambalaya Rice
