Combining vintage clothes shopping and a classic soda fountain in one spot is pretty much genius. Even if you can't find any new threads at Bertie's Vintage in Arcadia to satisfy your need for retail therapy, you can console yourself with one of their many unique and flavorful milkshake options.
One of our very favorite Bertie's options is the Marilyn Monroe. How does this sweet, icy treat take after the blonde bombshell actress? Well, it starts with creamy Thrifty brand French vanilla ice cream, which is kicked up with a shot of wedding cake flavor and some sweet and tart pineapple. Topped with a cherry and housemade whipped cream, it's classic, fun, and tasty.
Even if you don't like that milkshake or the celeb that it's named after, you can try out the Buddy Holly with chocolate and marshmallow or the Elvis with peanut butter and banana. Best of all, the service at Bertie's is friendlier than any other spot to get milkshakes in town. You'll be sold on the staff alone, though the shakes are definitely great too.
