Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?

Wine Tasting
Looking for a low key, relaxing way to spend your Thursday night? Why not attend Sun Devil Liquors Thursday night Wine Tasting in the Cellar Pub from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight. For just $5 you can sample a selection of Sean Minor Wines and even get a chance to chat with the wine maker himself, Sean Minor. John Burak will be on the piano and they will be plenty of comfy couches to sit on. The Cellar also has 8 rotating tap handles to keep your non-wine drinking, beer snob friends happy. Drink up!

Cookies for Cancer
If you are in Mesa this Saturday, November 20th don't forget to stop by the We Are Good Cookies Bake Sale happening from 10 to 7 p.m. right outside the Philosophy store on Val Vista between Baseline and the U.S. 60. at the Dana Park shopping center. In addition to an assortment of cookies, cupcakes and breads, you can also purchase tickets to be entered in a raffle for one of four Philosophy gift baskets. 100% of the funds raised will be matched by GLAD's Glad to Give Program and every dollar raised will be donated to pediatric cancer research. Click here for more details or to volunteer.

Pumpkin Candy Cups
Megan from What's Megan Making stole our heart this morning with her Pumpkin Candy Cups. Think peanut butter cups but with white chocolate and delicious pumpkin pie filling. Despite of how amazing they look, we foresee one problem --- 10 isn't going to be nearly enough.

Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Phoenix with no paywalls.
