Such an opportunity awaits at Octane Raceway. Avoid the lure of the bright arcade screens in favor of the weekly Summer Games, when the facility's half-mile indoor tracks fill up with go-karts that can cruise at speeds upward of 45 miles per hour.

Unleash your inner Bowser Tuesday, August 7, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Octane Raceway. Races continue through Tuesday, September 4, with a final competition on Saturday, September 9.

Tuesdays, 7-9 p.m. Starts: July 10. Continues through Sept. 8, 2012
