Forno 301 Pizzeria and Bar won't change much, the owners promise.

Forno 301 Pizzeria and Bar is moving. The Roosevelt Street location will close in September and a new location near Central Avenue and McDowell Road is set to open in early October.

The restaurant set itself apart from other wood-fired pizza joints, in part due to the dynamic personalities of owners Roberto Dadone and Luca Gagliano, who grew up in Sanremo, a Mediterranean city in northwestern Italy.

According to Gagliano, the new location's menu will remain largely the same. “It will have the same feeling,” Gagliano says. “We are very excited for the new location. It's a nice location with more visibility and the business will be good.”

The move was prompted by the three-year construction project planned for their current building on Roosevelt Street and Third Avenue, where they have been for the last two and a half years.

“I will miss this place, but the new one will be good,” Gagliano says.

The new restaurant space is located at the base of the Muse Luxury Apartments at 1616 North Central Avenue. The official opening date has yet to be announced.
