Fitness Classes at Westgate

Stop by Westgate Entertainment District every Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., September 23 through October 28, for free fitness classes led by lifestyle and fitness coach Nina Carr. These all-levels courses will feature kickboxing, pilates, yoga, core-strengthening, intervals, and dance. Refreshments and music will be provided. Guests should bring their own mats. Writing Workshop - Five Plots a Day: Turning Newspaper Articles into Novels

At 6 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, Glendale Foothills Library will host a free class led by best-selling mystery author Betty Webb that teaches aspiring authors how to look for story content in everyday newspaper clippings. Seating is limited. Guests can register by visiting the events online or calling 623-930-3844.

September Hoot Hour

On Wednesday, September 24, downtown co-working space CO+HOOTS is inviting creative business types and bowling enthusiasts alike to join them at Let It Roll Bowl for an evening of striking down pins and striking up conversation.
