A Decade on Ice

Ten years ago, Madonna kissed Britney Spears at the VMAs. Finding Nemo and The Lord of the Rings were the most popular movies of the year -- if you don’t count Paris Hilton’s sex tape, One Night in Paris, which had just hit the stands. But the most memorable event that occurred that year (for ice hockey fans, anyway) took place on December 27, when the Phoenix Coyotes played their first game at Jobing.com arena. For a decade, the ‘Yotes have provided the Valley’s best show on ice at this rink, and their ten-year anniversary game against division rivals, the San Jose Sharks, will be a lot more entertaining than that sex tape. Trust us.

The puck drops at 7 p.m. Friday, December 27, at Jobing.com Arena, 9400 West Maryland Avenue in Glendale. Tickets are $20 and up. Visit coyotes.nhl.com or call 480-563-7825 for more.
