Miss Asia Arizona

For a decade the beauty, brains, and talent of the Valley’s Asian-American community have taken center stage at Miss Asia Arizona. This year’s 10th annual event celebrates that and more with a pageant steeped in opportunities for personal and professional growth and leadership. Created by Gene Flores, a Pacific Islander and former Mr. Asia of California, the contest aims to unite the diverse Asian and Pacific Islander population. Past contestants have had roots in Vietnam, India, China, Afghanistan, and the Philippines.

Contest and coronation begin at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, at The Ovation Live Showroom at Wild Horse Pass Hotel and Casino, 5040 West Wild Horse Pass Boulevard in Chandler. General admission is $25; VIP tickets are $65. Visit or contact 602-509-9019.
