Chef Mel Mecinas of Talavera at the The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North and local LDV Winemaker Curt Dunham are joining forces to serve a wine-pairing dinner today at LDV's Scottsdale Gallery location. One sample pairing includes roasted rack of lamb with goat cheese-potato croquette and morel mushroom sauce served alongside LDV's 2012 The Signature Petite Sirah. Ridge Vineyards Wine Dinner at Local Bistro

Guests can partake in four courses paired with California wines hailing from Ridge Vineyards at Local Bistro in Scottsdale on Wednesday. Ridge Lytton Springs viticulturist Will Thomas will be at the restaurant to discuss the Cupertino, California-based Ridge Vineyards' offerings. One sample food and drink pairing includes porcini lobster bisque and crispy crab fritter paired with ’12 Ridge Vineyards Estate Chardonnay. Ridge Vineyards specializes in making cabernet sauvignon, zinfandel, and chardonnay. Patio seating is available so diners can enjoy vino and food alfresco. Job Fair at The Herb Box

On Wednesday, March 16, from noon to 4 p.m., The Herb Box — a restaurant and catering company that serves seasonal and fresh New American cuisine — is hosting a job fair to fill more than 50 positions for its soon-to-open Phoenix location and its two existing Scottsdale locations. The Herb Box is hiring for all front of house and back of house positions including servers, bartenders, hosts, food runners, bussers, prep cooks, line cooks, and dishwashers. The Herb Box currently has two locations in North Scottsdale at DC Ranch and Old Town Scottsdale at Southbridge. The job fair will be held at The Herb Box at Southbridge (7134 E.
