Public Enemy No. 1 isn’t George Bush, Osama Bin Laden, or Exxon/Mobil. It’s Father Time, that bothersome creep who eventually turns your hairline into the Sahara or your perky boobs into rapidly sinking sandbags. Bastard.

When artist Richard Lee realized that Rembrandt completed many of his famous sketches in seconds, Lee decided to challenge old Chronos to a duel. His goal? Complete 100 individual art pieces, taking no longer than 60 minutes each, in exactly one year. The results are on display in the four-room “Richard Lee: A Period of Time” exhibit at Lords of Art Town Studio and Gallery. Despite finishing only 65 drawings, Lee considers the experiment a success. “Because time ran out, there were some things that did not come to fruition,” he admits. “However, it was the many failures that inspire me to go on.”
