68. Green Chile Burrito at Rito’s Mexican Food

There’s a good reason you’ll often find a crowd waiting outside Rito’s Mexican Food in Central Phoenix. Though the small eatery may not look like much from the outside — there’s no signage to speak of and very little space — inside you’ll find excellent and immensely satisfying Mexican food. Diners order and take their meals either to to-go or to enjoy at one of the picnic tables outside, selecting a meal from the fairly limited selection of offerings.

My go-to option is the the green chile burrito. Though messy, the combination of tender beef and spicy green chili makes for an affordable meal that can’t be beat. Complemented with the restaurant’s excellent flour tortillas this is one burrito that always lives up to its lofty reputation.
