Chef Jose Garces' modern Mexican restaurant, Distrito, is now open at The Saguaro, the stylish new hotel that opened the first week of November in Scottsdale (formerly Hotel Theodore and Mondrian.) The Saguaro's flagship restaurant alongside Garces' two other dining destinations at the hotel, Old Town Whiskey and Garces Trading Company (GTC) Coffee To-Go, Distrito, like the original location Garces established in Philadelphia, will focus on the cuisine of Mexico City.
Dishes will include: Suadero en Adobo, black angus beef brisket with dry adobo rub; and Costillas, Berkshire pork spare ribs with chipotle-cider mustard barbecue. There will also be a menu of small plates like: Huaracha Los Hongos, flatbread with forest mushrooms and huitlacoche sauce; Mahi Mahi Tacos with chipotle remoulade; and Equites, sweet corn with queso fresco, chipotle and lime.
Guests can watch tortillas and guacamole being prepared in-house or head over to the Distrito's Margarita Bar, where over 100 varieties of tequila and a variety of Mexican-inspired cocktails await.

In addition to the 3,500 square-foot space with a wall of Mexican Day of the Dead skulls, there's an outdoor "patio kitchen" set to open in the spring, where guests can watch chefs cook on a custom smoke pit and grill.
Distrito is located at 4000 Drinkwater Boulevard in Scottsdale. Breakfast is served seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Lunch is served Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Dinner is served seven days a week (Sunday- Thursday from 5-10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5-11 p.m.).
