It's easily one of our favorite sandwiches in town.

63. Fried Green Tomato Sandwich at Welcome Diner
There are plenty of hearty, meaty options at Welcome Diner. Some of the best and most popular include the PB&B, a burger that's topped with peanut butter, bacon, and pickles, and the restaurant's poutine, an excellent version of the Canadian favorite made with country gravy and melted cheddar. You could also go with any of the restaurant's biscuits sandwiches that showcase everything from fried chicken or chorizo to beer braised pork.
If you're looking for something lighter, don't worry. You don't have to settle. In fact, Welcome Diner's fried green tomato sandwich is one of our favorite vegetarian dishes and sandwiches in town. Served between two pieces of toasted sourdough bread, it features fried slices of green tomatoes with corn relish, arugula, and chipotle ranch. The combination of sweet corn, acidic tomatoes, and spicy ranch makes for a perfect trifecta of flavors.
