Miguel Ivery (a.k.a. DJ Seduce) is one of the Valley's most prominent mixmasters. He's also one of its busiest, as the 33-year-old blasts out Brazilian jams and rare grooves every weekend at local nightspots, as well as at a few high-paying gigs throughout North America (including his upcoming trip to Toronto). Each and every Friday, however, you'll find him spinning some vintage platters inside the Lounge at Crescent Ballroom, 308 North Second Avenue, during his weekly Motown & Stax session. As the event's name portends, Ivery drops the needle on classic soul and funk vinyl from two of the most legendary labels in music history. The records roll starting at 11:30 p.m. Admission is free.
