Chris Bianco is one of our favorite tastemakers in town -- and we're not just talking about his pizzas and sandwiches. His aesthetic is spot-on -- or, at the very least, he's got good taste in the folks he surrounds himself with. Either way, just peek inside Pizzeria Bianco, Bar Bianco or Pane Bianco if you need proof. When we read that Bianco commissioned custom aprons for his employees from Beverly Burch of The Willows Home & Garden fame, we got excited.
The result is handmade with vintage linen and a striking red serged finish. Burch started up a company called The Library this summer with her buyer, Krista; they are the team making Bianco the pretty kitchen coverups.
The aprons are all made to order and they're currently taking orders if you want one for yourself -- or all your friends. Just email them firstname.lastname@example.org or check out the website (http://www.librarypillows.com/) for more information.
Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
