In the mood for some gambling?

The Talk Cinema film series, a cross-city event that gives advanced screenings of independent and foreign films, will hit the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday, May 10.

Tickets are available now, but there's a catch -- you won't know what movie is screening until you're actually watching it. The films aren't announced in advance.

The flicks to be screened at the screening are hand-picked each year by the series' creator, film critic Harlan Jacobson, and he's not about to let anyone in on what will be showing. Still, some past movies featured during the series may be convincing enough to draw you out. Oscar-winner Slumdog Millionaire screened in 2008, and nominee "An Education" made an appearance in 2009, though documentaries and other genres have been featured as well.

Moderated conversations with critics, filmmakers, and other industry aficionados will take place after the screenings (hence the name Talk Cinema).
