The Square Root Cocktail Pairing Dinner at The Ostrich

A team of four top metro Phoenix chefs have joined forces to put together a Square Root Cocktail Pairing Dinner at Chandler's The Ostrich tonight. Jeff Kraus from Crepe Bar, Ryan Pitt from The Gladly, Art Contreras from Crust Simply Italian, and Ben Graham from Citizen Public House will each make one dish for the four-course dinner intended to celebrate spring's bounty. Entrees will feature locally sourced ingredients, most coming from Agritopia Farm in Gilbert. Graham's dish features pork cheeks, rosemary millet, charred beets, butter braised cippollini onions, and a pork demi, which will be paired with beet-infused Bulleit Rye, Maison Rouge VSOP Cognac, Meletti Amaro, and wild desert honey syrup with a lemon twist. BBQ and Bourbon Deal at Southern Rail
Monday, April 6 to Tuesday, April 7

Every Monday and Tuesday, from 5 p.m. until close, Southern Rail guests can nab a platter of barbecue and two glasses of bourbon for $20. The sharable tray includes meat with sauce and a side, with offerings rotating each week. Chef Justin Beckett will pick the meat, and seasonal veggies will influence the side. You might get to chow down on sticky ribs, pulled pork, or smoked sausage served with classic BBQ sauce and a side of crunchy chow-chow paired with a glass of bourbon or a classic Old Fashioned. Customers can choose from 12 different bourbons, which can be enjoyed on the rocks or in a cocktail. Free Dessert at Tilted Kilt on National Tartan Day

In honor of this Wednesday's National Tartan Day holiday (yes, this is a holiday), Tilted Kilt Tempe is offering a complimentary dessert for anyone who walks in wearing a kilt. Sorso Wine Room's One Year Anniversary Party

Sorso Wine Room at Scottsdale Quarter is celebrating its first birthday. The wine bar's official one-year anniversary party kicks off at 6 p.m. on Wednesday and will feature live music from Eric Ortiz from Rendition Chicago, a complimentary champagne toast at 8 p.m., wine tasting, light bites, and prizes. Sorso will donate $10 to Chrysalis, an organization that provides shelters and transitional housing in Scottsdale and Phoenix, for every bottle of wine purchased from its market selection. Local Spring Menu at Roka Akor
Wednesday, April 6 and Thursday, April. 7 

Scottsdale's Roka Akor is launching a variety of spring dishes with a special tasting menu that will be served from Wednesday, April 6 until Saturday, April 9. The farm-to-table tasting menu will denote where the ingredients are sourced, mostly showcasing local purveyors including Arizona Microgreens, Steadfast Farms at Agritopia, and McClendon Select Organics. Customers can dig into courses such as Kusshi oysters with yuzu served alongside a roasted beet salad with honey barley miso, lotus root, and smoked almonds. Roka Akor also has added nine new spring cocktails, including the Stout Sour with Eagle Rare bourbon, stout syrup, lemon, and yuzu. Weekday Happy Hour at Buck &Rider 
All week 

Buck &Rider has launched a weekday happy hour at Abby's Oyster Bar, located inside the restaurant at the bar top and bar area high-top tables inside the Arcadia restaurant. Guests can now enjoy half-priced food items, which will be posted on two felt letter boards in the bar, including daily oysters, raw bar items, sushi rolls, and Cooked & Good provisions like baked oysters and snapper ceviche.
