Grassroots Kitchen & Tap, the Scottsdale restaurant from fourth-generation restaurateur Christopher Collins (whose father is Wally Collins of Wally's American Pub N' Grille) is bringing its American standards with a Southern twist to a second location in Phoenix.
The new Grassroots will be located in the Town & Country Shopping Center at 20th Street and Camelback Road in the former home of Baby's Kay's Cajun Kitchen (Baby Kay's moved out of the space at the end of August and is currently setting up shop at 1582 East Bethany Home Road, in the one-time home of Richardson's Cuisine of New Mexico.).

Town & Country is currently home to restaurants such as Pizzeria Bianco/Trattoria Bianco, Chakra 4 Herb & Tea House, and Cyprus Grill as well as Whole Foods Market and Trader Joe's. Colorado-based Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, is planned to open in the shopping center in November.
Scottsdale Grassroots manager Jordan Blumer tells me the Phoenix location will carry the same food and drink items as the original restaurant and will open in January.
