La Dolce Vita Garden Party
We can sum up Phoenix Art Musem’s La Dolce Vita Garden Party in just three words: footloose, fancy, free. Starting at 6 p.m. Friday, November 6, patrons are encouraged to gussy themselves up and head to 1625 North Central Avenue for a no-cost evening of high-end fashion in its newly opened pair of exhibitions exploring the late designer Gianfranco Ferré’s work. Also on the sweet event’s lineup: vintage fashion shows with clothing from local boutiques, Italian cocktails and espresso, a photo booth, and a 7 p.m. screening of Fellini’s La Dolce Vita. Questival 
Hark, brave adventurer! You have been chosen by fate to undertake an important quest that’s also a party: Questival. Organized by Cotopaxi — a poverty relief-minded outdoor gear and apparel company — Questival is a 24-hour team scavenger hunt that takes place across the Valley, with each squad of two to six adventurers tasked with completing as many of the 300-plus challenges as they wish. The quests you choose may find you big-wheeling downtown, hiking nearby mountains, performing service at the local Y or taking a selfie with a llama, but complete more than any other team and your triumph will be rewarded with a trip to Belize.

Sexual Perversity in Chicago
Everyone who has experienced Sexual Perversity in Chicago, take one step forward.

Not so fast, you guys. We’re talking about the play by David Mamet.

Space 55, 636 East Pierce Street, opens its 10th anniversary season with this show, set amongst the sex and disco that permeated the Windy City in the 1970s. One of Mamet’s earliest works, the play was celebrated when it debuted in 1976, and should prove an interesting retrospective when the players at Space 55 perform it at 8 p.m. Saturday, November 7. As artistic director Duane Daniels says, “It is such a culture shock to see how far we’ve progressed as a society… and also how we have not.”

Midtown Living Tour
They say home’s where the heart is, but we tend to think in more brick-and-mortar terms. Turns out, the folks behind the annual Midtown Living Tour agree. For the 2015 edition of the self-guided tour, seven Phoenix condo and apartment complexes including Al Beadle’s Executive Towers and One Lexington will allow attendees a peek inside and a feel for the neighborhood, located between Hance Park and Indian School Road and Third Street and Third Avenue. Almost, Maine
Almost, Maine, is almost a town. It’s almost in Canada. And the play by that name features characters who, under the spell of the aurora borealis, fall almost in love. But there’s nothing almost-y about the appeal of the script, whose delicate charm and humor, flexible casting requirements, and 11 short scenes have helped make it ragingly popular with regional, community, and high school theaters. And you can only describe tickets for Theater Works’ current production as “almost” if you follow it with “gone,” so you’d better hurry up and make your plans, entirely.
