If you mourn the departure of RandomCon from the Valley’s strategic gaming scene -- and really, who doesn’t? -- cheer up at the debut Phoenix Vul-Con 2012. Aficionados of stuff like Dystopian Wars, Munchkin Zombies, cosplay, and world-creation in general will find not just merch, supplies (like terrain and cases for miniatures, or customizable card and dice towers), and celebrity guests -- such as fantasy authors, artists, game designers, and costumer/model/actress/bona fide female Caribean Sera -- but the most elusive prize: like-minded flesh-and-blood people with whom to enjoy everything, including open play and tournaments aplenty.

Attention, Wil Wheaton: Any attempt to affect outcome by lying about your Meemaw will result in immediate expulsion.
