When it comes to peppers, some like it hot -- and some like it even hotter. Way hotter. Like tongue-burning, eyes-watering, face-flushing, the-higher-Scoville-the-better hot. And if you’re one of those people, then you won't want to miss the first-ever Roosevelt Row Chile Pepper Festival on Saturday, September 29.

More than a dozen of Phoenix’s favorite chefs, restaurants, food trucks, local bands, and artisans will congregate at the A.R.T.S. Market, 408 East Roosevelt Street, to celebrate the Southwest’s most treasured veggie: the chile pepper. Get your chile fix with chile-filled bites from chefs including Barrio Café’s Julio Mata, Tim Cobb from the Luncha Libre food truck, Virgina Senior from Urban Beans, and more. Beer from local fave Four Peaks and margaritas will be for sale to wash down all those spicy eats. Complimentary salsa samples aplenty will be among the munchies.
