This week, the Welcome Diner is rolling out the red carpet for its first ever 48 Hour Film Festival. The free event will showcase a lineup of local filmmakers who were assigned a line of dialogue, a genre, and a prop, and given two days of production to create a 10-minute, potentially award-winning, movie.

This Wednesday, August 14, the downtown community is invited to sit alongside filmmakers and their judges as the Welcome Diner makes its dinner-and-a-movie debut at 8:30 p.m. This one-time showing of DIY film shorts promises to deliver either laughter, tears, or, at the very least, prizes. Seating for this outdoor screening is first come, first served. For more information, visit the Welcome Diner 48 Film Festival on Facebook.
