With Shark Week still months away and the return date of Deadliest Catch a looming mystery, it’s a dry season when it comes to aquatic adventures on Discovery Channel. Luckily, the National Geographic Live! Speaker series at Mesa Arts Center might help quell waterborne withdrawals.

The next installment features Roz Savage, a businesswoman turned pro adventurer who has crossed the Pacific and Altantic oceans by rowboat. For Savage, who was named National Geographic’sAdventurer of the Year and holds multiple world records, there’s no such thing as dry season. Her talk will likely include gushing over her latest excursions across the Indian Ocean accompanied by shocking video clips and an honest, humorous report on her experiences.
