Throughout August, Blue Bell Creameries wants its fans to share their love of ice creams and novelties in an online contest to win a VIP trip to Blue Bell's creamery.

Fans are invited to visit bluebell.com in the month of August to submit their love story of ice cream. The contest will end August 31.

The contest is open to all Country Club members and must be 500 words or less submitted online. To sign up to be a Country Club member, go to www.bluebell.com.

Eight finalists will be chosen at the end of the contest by contest officials and their stories will be posted on the website beginning September 20. Then the voting begins to determine the winner.

Country Club members will have two weeks, after the eight finalists are chosen, to vote on their favorite story online. The story that receives the most votes will be the grand prize winner and will be announced on October 9.

The grand prize is the VIP trip to Brenham, Texas, to see how Blue Bell makes their ice cream. Being one of the finalists has its perks, too. Each of the eight finalists will be treated to a prize packet including various Blue Bell gift items and a half-gallon of Blue Bell Ice Cream every week for one year.

Now, that's a lot of ice cream.
