This spring, nature meets music and booze as the Desert Botanical Garden once again hosts Spiked! Thursday's. The eclectic event features a different band and featured cocktail every week, making for rare opportunities to rock out in a beautiful desert landscape.

Kicking off the series March 4 is garage rock band The Love Me Nots, whose trademark go-go boots are almost as popular as the group's retro sound. The band's made a splash in France and the U.K. and regularly packs local venues, so it's a good idea to buy your tickets to opening night in advance.

Admission is $25, and only those ages 21 and older are admitted. Your ticket includes admission to the Allan Houser: Tradition to Abstraction exhibit, as well as appetizers. The cash bar features $3 glasses of wine from 6-7 p.m. and a rotating menu of cocktails such as mint juleps, sangria and martinis. The event lasts from 6-8 p.m.
