A gay rights group is up in arms about tweets from 50 Cent they seem to believe had something to do with the recent spat of tragic, high-profile suicides of young, gay men.

"If you a man and your over 25 and you don't eat pussy just kill your self damn it. The world will be a better place," he tweeted last night after several other tweets about his love of oral sex.

Truth Wins Out called on rapper 50 Cent to clarify his "potentially anti-gay remarks."

At least one dumbass blogger, a Houston-based Examiner writer named Karah Leigh, seems to be taking the bait.

"Rapper 50 Cent took to his Twitter page encouraging gay men to kill themselves," Karah Leigh wrote. "GLBT kids are already at a higher risk for suicide without celebrities and role models encouraging them."

"We hope that 50 Cent was simply expressing enthusiasm for oral sex in an inartful way," said a TWO spokesman. "It would be unconscionable if he were calling on gays to commit suicide in the face of such tragedy. Only a despicable reprobate would do such a thing and leaders from Hollywood to Washington should condemn such rhetoric. Truth Wins Out calls on 50 Cent to clarify his remarks immediately."

How about I clarify them on behalf of 50, who I found to be a very thoughtful and sincere man when I interviewed him a little while back.

1. The tweets were in the context of Fiddy discussing his love of oral sex. Go back and look. "Ok ok I really want a blow job damn what's wrong with that. just give me a little licky licky. Lol" he wrote just prior to that. Was that an invitation to a gay man to perform fellatio on him? Maybe, who knows! He didn't say! Hey, maybe someone should issue a press release saying he outed himself!

2. Obviously, folks, 50 wasn't singling out gay men. He meant uptight straight guys who won't pleasure their women. Duh. Did he say anything about gay men? No. Believe it or not, gay men aren't the only men who don't eat pussy.

3. 50 Cent doesn't follow the news as closely as paid outcry-raisers and no-name bloggers in Houston. He's too busy doing shit like making movies and records. Even if he did he probably would never imagine anyone twisting his words like this.

4. I almost hate to throw this in there, guys, but Curtis Jackson's late mother was bisexual. That makes this out-of-context outrage all the more ridiculous. Seriously, folks, get a grip.

To attempt to exploit these heartbreaking tragedies is crass, but slandering someone in the process is just plain classless. 50 deserves an immediate apology from TWO and any of the idiotic bloggers who've taken their release seriously. There are plenty of rappers who do spread hate speech about gays, no one needs manufactured controversy around 50 Cent.

And, speaking of that point,  finally, I'm going to throw this out there: Would anyone have taken his tweet to mean 50 hated gay people -- not loved cunnilingus -- if he was a white rock star? I suspect not. And, look, yeah, I'm gonna go there because I seriously think this is an example of subconscious racism. People remember stuff like Lil Wayne's "No Homo" chant and think all black rappers have the same attitude. They don't.

Why is it that when a black rapper says something sexually provocative it somehow has to be hate speech? Now, that's a serious issue for our society to deal with.
